We then ran down to the ocean front, along to Montana Avenue and up Montana Avenue to the mexican restaurant where we had a beautiful breakfast at last time. It had changed hands and was rather ordinary but at least we were out and about. By then the weather was verging on spectacular. Yesterday’s winds were gone and the sky was blue! We saw the most ridiculously gorgeous houses and gardens on the way.
We returned home, gathered the crew and then headed off on another walk along the ocean front. This time the weather was perfect. It was so relaxing that I thought I might pass out from light headedness. We even saw dolphins.
We wove our way back through the streets and the 12 year old had a great run on his skate board.
After lunch we popped across the road to the Canyon Elementary School Fiesta! Same as our fetes but they had the cool Los Angeles Fire Department trucks outside! Love the dual drivers – one for the truck and one for the ladder.
Finally got to hit the 3rd Street Promedade shops today and they are fantastic. By coincidence I went into the first shop that I saw and it did not have a visible sign. I immediately loved the stock and selected many items to try on. Then I realised that it was the same shop that I had loved at the Chelsea Markets in New York (where I also couldn’t see their name). Anthropolie. Love it! Bought two tops.
We tried to see the sun set from the ocean walk but no colour again tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
26 000 steps today. A very relaxing, lovely day.
